 Art Dad
— for Kevin Killian
fake sand
a field of gushing rocks
paradise lost
fake chickens
man made meat
dentures adequate to eat
a sunkissed mask
soaked in mineral salt
a smooshed eye
pirate like
a wanderer
a bouncer
a word puzzler
free spinach
on the side of the road
blocked with functus
sum of neuter
some subtropical rain
some testament
to watershed
Enlightenment theories
sung subtropic grimm fairytale
on aqueous delight
unpuzzle me love
my broken bits
my calendrical ways
some abstention from heartbroken vein
the pain rang
rekindled its unbridled hooks
with thirst from the trough
some river coaxed
some waterway chastised
this collection of broken wounds
my sugar glucose over the top
in abundance let us guide
to cry at the lather
the swollen wound
that one that burst
oh my hunger cry one time
my numbed heart
aflicked in dreamy light
temporal and seeking arteries
to dry light from
crane the neck into
to unclog
what plumes wide
spit into my generic youth
don't compromise
the swell
let it fall till unland-
locked till un-windowed
down
no art without courage
is art without wounds
with nets of deep swallows
tomorrow relocate
find some new un-numb
jam to thrum to
crush a rose
floating liquid
pink puddle burst
seed sallow on the sidewalk
my love is up to my irises
my nails are down
drawn a halo around
perk muzzle
the new eyeshadow palette
green gold twist apricot rouge
unaccompanied by swans
mood elixir a pink waterbed
a swan in the shape of swans
crown an eagle lounge
meaning make a nest to come pray in
hedge bets that when the wind is off
the time is dry
when the wind whips up
the time is wet
the rest is over
I want your flaws
inside my body to surpass
all that is divine
nobody cares about body
would be the ultimate truth
proof in this lifetime
generosity is the big reveal
seal the kiss for the doorman
I am dead
without a future to feel alive in
you are my biggest primrose
asphalt kiss
the lips of bliss torrential
if gravity seeks refuge
then I want to be all that
and so much more
before the back cracks
a little bit of flak
I come back more mosquito
echoes back
I want to be all peacekeeper
glib in morning light
perfunctory and woven
not keen for dismissal
an open analog
a woven dialog
the curtain has words in it
the lumber is filled with vocabulary
skilled and not hurtful
not trained to grant pain
without a future to feel alive in
we are very shackled to individuality
where might we gather
for the forthcoming apocalypse
how can we better serve each other
if hunger is of the classified identity
what culmination leaks prowls and embeds
what snuffed forest fire offers reclamation
the seeds are up in smoke
cling to molecules
float
land elsewhere
sprout annew
with ingénue spirit
casual to rake
especially mid-pomp
some thumb outstretched
some perfect and temporal
lobe of light
outstretched for all to see
not hidden like a gem
dug up found and gleaned
but all baring all hip radiant
en fare to see en fair to see
en roads wit maps
wheat high fields specked light
light touch of goddess
spread flecked-out pods
hands to raise
hits to glaze
some patch
little field
dried out
sung glazed
cork screwed
some shrewd fed-up with corn
sun arched like an art dad
friendly like an old pig
forgive forgive forgive
